Quick Question about Windows 7 Activation

Yesterday I had to active windows 7 via telephone. I phoned, and got the automated service. After typing in the codes, it asked me: "how many computers have you installed this copy of windows on?" Is this question asking how many computers this copy is currently on, or is it asking how many computer I have installed it on in history (including uninstalls)

Its how many you will have it installed on.

You should put 1

No worries.

That's assuming you bought a single copy of 7 for use on 1 pc. (It can be used as many times as you want on your pc whether you upgrade bits or build a new pc so long as it's just used on 1 pc at a time)

There was a family pack where you could use it on upto 3 pc's but most people have single licence copies.
