Is buying the 270X at around £20 more than the 270 worth the extra 282 G3D Mark?
Are there any other differences?

Maximum £150. Would one really notice the difference? It would still run most modern games at +40 frames, wouldn't?
Also, whats the lifetime of the card?
(sorry for all the questions.

Have a look through these Award winning supplier, performance hardware & systems - Scan.co.uk Top cards are 270 Bottom cards on the page are 270x

I'd still go with the 270x as its only a few quid dearer, You could probably get around 3 years(not 100% sure dont quote me) of playing all games, You might notice the difference if you were getting 29 fps on the 270 but 31-33 on the 270x at higher settings or further down the line.

As of now depending on settings, youd get away with 40+ on high with pretty much everything maybe even more fps and higher settings.
