The 1000 will not work!!

We don't know for sure on the others because we don't have the specs.

Get the part # or a web page with specs and I'll look at it and gvie you an opinion on what you are looking at.

Bloody Big Grin
because my RAM can no longer be bought, and I don't wanna spend 150 bucks on all new RAM (or an single 4gigs RAM card), so I AM trying to buy the exactly same ram but the only available is the exactly same ram BUT 1000 GHz.
Who says you can no longer find it? Have you googled the part number? DDR2 is still very readily available. I haven't ever had an issue going back to find matching DDR2 modules, even a few weeks ago when I needed to up from 1 GB to 2 GB in my HTPC, using Patriot PC2-5300 memory. If you were still using DDR1, yes, you'd have issues finding it.

EDIT: Just did a Google search for OCZ Value PC2-6400 CL5 and clicked shopping results. I found over 200 vendors still selling it.

That would probably work if you get a matched pair 2x1GB set.

Ram works better if bought and used as a matched pair. It will work using singles.

So you can buy two singles if that is what you wish to do.

But if no matched pair is available at the moment two singles are not a big difference to the matched pair, are they ???

If they are two identical singles, then they are a matched pair. Yes, I know...it's very technical. ;)

The "kits" are only sold so people can take the guess work out of matching their memory...but further proof that you should matching your memory.

Most times, you can find individual sticks to make your own kit when you are looking for older memory. Above, when I mentioned looking for Patriot memory, I bought two single sticks that were the same as the ones from the kit I had purchased a year before. That's why i said to match part numbers and search for it...you'll find it.

ok thx, now I have 2 x 1gb ddr 2 800mhz ocz value cl5.

So, if I understood you all I can now add every ddr2 800mhz ram, no matter to the other specs..

Right ????

NO, not advisable. You are better off buying all new ram.

Either buy 2, 2GB sticks or buy 4, 1 GB sticks.
You want same MHz, voltage and timings, and manufacturer. Some people may have unmatched sets and get away with it, but I would not risk damaging your mobo.
Look at your mobo specs for what will work with your mobo.
IMO.
