Ram usage

When my pc starts its using about 1.30GB of ram,and then it jumps to about 3.70GB while running the same amount of programs.

I put some Screen shots in

My PC, Compact presario CQ 62
Cpu AMD Phenom II P960 1.8Ghz
Ram 8.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 532MHz (8-8-8-20)
Graphics AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 256mb
MotherB Hewlett-Packard 143B (Socket S1G4)

256mb is dedicated
but my video ram is 3.0GB(might be this)

That variation in ram usage is normal. Windows 7 manages the ram all by its self and does a great job. Many things are happening in the background that will make those small adjustments. Are you using Resource Monitor to watch your ram?
I can't get your screenshots to open.

I am using task manager. I'm not worried I have plenty of ram I just wanted to know that it was normal. I don't know why the screen shots wont open for you but it just shows the programs running and the jump in ram usage.

Welcome to the forum,

Most people aren't comfortable opening an unknown file, if you had saved them as a jpeg or png you could have attached them right in your post.

As they are bmp files they are too large to do that.

Go to start and type in resmon and then tick on it. Then tick memory and it will show you how Windows 7 is using your ram. I wouldn't mess with it because Windows 7 does a great job managing it all by itself.
