Solved Random 109 BSOD errors

I have been getting random BSOD crashes for months now and have not been able to fix them. Most of the time they are 109, although sometimes they vary. I have tested my memory, switched memory, switched motherboards, taken out my soundblaster soundcard (and used driversweeper to clean up), updated my driver files, etc... And I still get random crashes: Sometimes the computer starts and crashes; sometimes it is on for a while, then will crash a couple of times then stop; sometimes it will crash 5-6 times in a row. The only common denominator through all the changes has been the video card. One of the fans on the cooler went bad, and it was a little while before I noticed it...is it possible the extra heat cooked something on the card, and now it's just "flakey" (even though I replaced the cooler and it runs at normal temps)?

I am attaching the perfmon report and my zipped dmp files. I tried running the utility on this site, but I ran it twice, and it did not create any files on my computer (yes, I ran it as an administrator). Any help would be appreciated guys; I have been building computers for a while and have never had this problem...in fact, I built this computer in February, then start having these issues sometime last summer, so it ran fine for months.

I am running an OEM copy of Win 7 Home Premium 64bit, Asus P8Z68-V MoBo, 16GB of Corsair RAM at the recommended settings (and it is on the QVL list), i7 2600k CPU, and 570gtx vid card. I am currently using the onboard audio.

Run Disk Check with both boxes checked for all HDDs and with Automatically fix file system errors checked for all SSDs.

Ok; I ran Disk Check last night on my SSD (boot drive), but I didn't run it on my 1TB WD drive (I use it for storage and most of my non-OS program files). I will run it on both when I get home from work.

Also, you say the only common denominator was the graphics card. Does this mean the hard drives have been changed out, as well? And if they have, how was it done? Did you do a clean install from scratch, or did you move over a system image?

I just want to make sure this can't be virus/malware related before assuming it is the graphics card. Testing the temperatures of the graphics card as suggested in my previous post may give an indication, as well.

I tested my old G.Skill memory on the first motherboard overnight with no issues, but I replaced it anyway because I kept having crashes. Then it kept crashing with the new Corsair memory, so I got a new motherboard...and it kept crashing, so I tested the new memory (I also added two more sticks of the Corsair, so I tested all of it over night) and the memory was fine. I just removed the original two sticks of Corsair and left the newest ones in to see if that changes anything.

Back to one of my original questions: Could these crashes be caused my faulty memory on the video card?

Also, you say the only common denominator was the graphics card. Does this mean the hard drives have been changed out, as well? And if they have, how was it done? Did you do a clean install from scratch, or did you move over a system image?

I just want to make sure this can't be virus/malware related before assuming it is the graphics card. Testing the temperatures of the graphics card as suggested in my previous post may give an indication, as well.

The hard drives are the same as well (my bad). At one point, I did a clean install of Windows on the SSD to see if that would fix it, but the crashes continued. I was running MSI Afterburner, so I could always see my card temp before. I think I mentioned in my original post, one of the fans on the cooler went out, and the card would climb to high 80s, sometimes 90 when really taxed, but I thought that was high and figured out one of the fans died. I put a Zalman cooler on it and the temps have not gone past the 70s since.

However, I am wondering if the extra heat for a while killed something on the card.

Malwarebytes (deep scan) only came back with a couple of little ad things that were not critical. I always have MS Security Essentials running, and I have pretty good surfing practices.

They very well could be. Run the temperature monitor I posted in my previous post to see if anything is overheating, first.

The crashes also could be due to your SSD hard drive as it had errors that had to be fixed. I would run another disk check in the same manner as before (only for the primary drive, the secondary basically looks fine) and continue running them until you get no errors. If you continue to have errors after the third try, contact the hard disk manufacturer for troubleshooting steps. Once we rule out the hard disks, we can focus on the graphics card a little more.

The video thread has a stress test for the GPU, and there is also a video memory stress test listed in post #3 that would be worth looking at. Really, all the steps in the first three posts are worth going through (other than registry cleaning as you will note usasma seems against these and I am as well).

Ok, ran Disk Check last night and got this (I assume the highlighted line is what I was shooting for?). I won't know if I have any further errors until I get a chance to use my computer tonight after work. I ran the graphics mem test (within windows) last night and it didn't come up with any errors either.

After the hard drive came up clean, I reinstalled my sound card and RAM to see if that was the only issue (and because I had changed too many things at once). It ran well for about a day, then BSOD again. I took out the sound card again, used Driver Sweeper to clean up and....BSOD again. I took out the same two sticks of RAM and I've run for around 2 says with no issues, so it looks like it might have been the RAM (even though I didn't get any errors). If I make it through this week with no BSODs, I am going to retest the other RAM, and send it back to Corsair for two new sticks.
