Even if you Ghost your Windows . Ghost is an imaging software from Symantec ( Norton ) downside to Ghost you need the hardware to be the same . That's how it works in enterprise environment . You having an image of your friends Window doesn't mean its legit on your PC . Therefore it is not legit on your PC .

It automatically activates onces its online . For your PC to have a legit version you would have to purchase your own copy of Windows 7 and not use a ghost image of your friends .
