Hi all,

I've been getting what seems to me as very random BSOD's (gaming, idling, videos). It started a couple months back and I googled the problem and uninstalled some programs and it went away for a while.. but has recently reappeared. :(

Browsing the forums, I'm just not sure if my problem is similar to others... I've been trying to look for people with similar error codes as mine but haven't had complete luck yet. Hoping someone here can help me out.

Here is the pop up log I get after the most recent bsod and subsequent reboot:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3
Locale ID: 4105

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 7f
BCP1: 0000000000000008
BCP2: 0000000080050031
BCP3: 00000000000006F8
BCP4: FFFFF80003092EC0
OS Version: 6_1_7600
Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\122010-35505-01.dmp
C:\Users\Wilson Kwong\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-48750-0.sysdata.xml

I've also attached a zip file with the logs according to the posting instructions.

Specs:

MSI GX640 laptop
i5-450m
HD5850
DDR3 2x2GB RAM
It's a few months old now. I haven't reformatted anything... it's still out of box installations bought from NCIX. Runs Home Premium 64bit

Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi,

Alongside the above driver updates, you have two applications that you need to remove.

1. Zone Alarm

Zone Alarm Removal tool -> http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/free/support/cpes_clean.exe (run in Safe Mode without Networking)

Then reset the Windows Firewall to its default settings -
START -> type cmd.exe -> right-click -> run as administrator -> type netsh advfirewall reset press enter
2. Symantec Endpoint Protection

If removing ZA fails to fix the BSODs then you need to remove Symantec Endpoint Protection too:
Download the Norton Removal Tool (NRT); save to desktop. Boot into SAFEMODE - NO Networking. Tap F8 key during boot-up. Then go to desktop, RIGHT-click on the NRT icon and select Run as Administrator.

When complete - re-boot.

NRT - ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

Install MS Security Essentials --> http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/
Regards,
Reventon

Thanks for the replies!

I've deleted Speenfan since I don't use it.

I have no idea how to get the proper driver from the Realtek site. help! :(

I've deleted ZA with that program in safe mode without networking and reactivated the windows firewall default... I guess it's just wait and see now?
