AMD processors are known to have trouble with 1600 RAM. Suggest lowering to 1333/667 from 1600/800 in the BIOS.

Okay, I'll lower it and report back to see if the BSODs go away.

But is it possible that this is the cause as I had the same problem with the original RAM which was 1333?

Download and install CPUZ and Upload screenshots of the CPU, Mainboard, Memory, and SPD tabs.

Also, go into your BIOS and post all RAM and CPU Voltages and all RAM settings (timings, frequency, etc.)

Hi,

Thanks for your help writhziden but I got hold of a new Asrock mobo and replaced that with a new install of Win7 yesterday. So far no BSODs or crashes of any kind.
I don't know if it was hardware incompatibility or a driver issue or what, but swapping out the board seems to have sorted out the problem.

Thanks again for your help :)

No problem. Thanks for posting back your steps. Run your normal routine for a while (a week or two) and post back whether the system remains stable.
