Random crashes

"Currently the computer wont even get to desktop from boot without BSOD" - crashes seem to happen while inside Windows for a while or even before - so it's not a reproducible error that happens exact same time upon a boot, every time....like as when a driver is accessed to memory.

"Ok tried to run the memory stress test and the comp froze at 4% of the ram test" I can imagine that if some other hardware besides RAM was faulty, it could produce this result as well - faulty RAM itself though is my greatest thought.

There are explorer.exe crashes and svchost.exe crashes.

Are you comfortable opening your machine?
Please give me as much information about your memory (RAM) that you have.
I'll try to help see if we can pull a memory stick or two out the machine which has a decent chance of alleviating crashes. In not, swap what you took out with what you left in an test. If not, completely replace memory.

At this point, it's an educated guess on my behalf that your RAM is casuing problems. It's only a guess.

I am very comfortable opening the comp, I am the one that built it in the first place, but that was nearly 3 years ago, I know its kingston dual channel ddr2 ram with the heatsinks on them, It has 2 gigs of ram and Im not sure if I can replace memory at this time, considering Im on a student budget, but if you want I guess I can pull a gig to see if that helps?

Good about you knowing machine well. Yeah, check the motherboard manual to see if RAM has to be installed in pairs of may run individually. Use the info you find to decide if/which RAM sticks to temporarily remove and if it is possible.

It is possible to run individually but in pairs they must be in corresponding color slots. So the suggestion here from what I understand is to go ahead and pull one and if it happens pull the other and install the other one to see if it stops, but what if it happens with both of them individually, am I lookin at just replacing all the ram...... I guess I a running 64 bit which means I would have to purchase more eventually anyways, to edit the videos that I do.

Yes. Good plan outline above. If problems persist, perhaps consider using the 32 bit version on the machine either permanently or as its own test. 2 GB RAM is not so well for x64, but shouldn't cause errors either, under normal conditions.

well removed one of the sticks and I made it into the desktop and it is still running for about three minutes now without BSOD, is it possible that the memory just needs to be installed into a different slot? Or am I just looking at maxing out the 8 gigs this thing can accept, because that is what I want to do in the first place... oh and while I was typing this up, it has still been running just fine

"CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT (101)
An expected clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor in an
MP system within the allocated interval. This indicates that the specified
processor is hung and not processing interrupts."

Your processor is an AMD and there are known problems which require BIOS updates and the like to fix/work around. As a suggestion, search the AMD forums for CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT and TLB (Translation Lookaside Buffer).

And also consider following the other steps TorrentG suggested in his excellent advice

Ummm nevermind I am having the BSOD again and it is telling me that, the windows instalation disc wants to repair the boot manager identifier {9dea862c-5cdd-4e70-acc1-f32b344d4795} Just wanted to know what this meant and if it would help I would imagine that it would help if the disc wants to do it I am going to go ahed and do it, and then go and search for a bios update, can anybody drop me a line as to which amd forum would be the best to do the search in to find that update?
Also, I am running the windows memory diagnostic and I dont know how effective this tool is but I am doing it anyways, just to burn some time till I get an answer as to which would be the best amd forum to check.
