Happened in both beta/rc and RTM where on m emachine laptop upon returning from sleep "i assume its hibernation since win 7 enters that state after X amount of minutes when sleeping" that the pc will suddenly lockup from a mouse movement or something of that sort... i remember reading some previous threads but i cant remember where they were but i do remember no one had a solid resolution. is there any way to grab a dump off this issue to debug... there is no bsod and the issue is pretty common for people. kinda surprised it hasn't been fixed yet by ms. is there any current way to disable sleep-hibernation but leave the standard manual way of going into hibernation enabled?

x32 ultimate off fresh installs that this would occur.

No bsod, no dumps. But Ms admited some machines may have problems when coming out of sleep at idle. there is a small app called insomnia, which MS released to deal with it untill it is resolved. I didnt really read the whole thread but you can searxh here for it or google insomnia.

Hppope it helps

going to need a link googing insomnia here results this thread only and google gives results on basically insomnia... windows 7 insomnia returns a program that keeps the computer awake which if thats the same program you are speaking of them its not really what im looking for. simply disabling sleep/hibernation i guess is the only result until its fixed.

nvm found the thread... i guess i must have had the seach only selection this area of the forums to be searched
