Random reboots while playing certain games

So as the title says, my computer randomly reboots when i play some games, but others it is totally fine. I thought that it was windows related because i was using win8, so i went back down to win7 and am still having the same issues. I can not get an error report simply because it is not a BSOD, the computer just reboots. It seems to be games with PhysX (Quantum Conundrum), but not other games (BFBC2).
Any thoughts on what causes it?

Sorry about that, didn't realize you needed it if it wasn't a BSOD.

So there some problem with the CDROM. Check it physically , if all th connections are are fine there, BIOS configuration is OK etc. But most possibly it is either some image mounting program, or some program that externally monitoring your ODD, to play movies etc. Your Cyberlink program? 3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept the restart.
Use Speccy, check the system heat, including the graphics cards heat.
Check the games settings, drop the priority level down to normal or low.
If possible, clean inside the computer. Some dust accumulation may cause it, too.
And, search for possible display driver updates.

So i dont have a CDROM in it at all... no idea where that error is coming from :sarc: also when you say disable everything from startup, i assume you mean for me to leave Microsoft Windows Operating System on as well. Also, i NEED CCC installed or else my monitor underscans. I went ahead and uninstall all that ASRock stuff though because i dont use any of it and i only installed it cause i clicked the install everything button from the CD that came with the motherboard. Didn't help though, im still getting random reboots in some games.

Nice to know that you dont have a CDROM. So do you use any program to mount iso files? Say Daemon tools or mogic disc?

From startup, you remove everything.... other than the antivirus. If there is anything listed as "mindows operating system", dont worry, remove it too.

nope i currently have no program to mount CD's. Alright i will remove everything and get back to you then. i dont think its a program issue though because it never happens when i am just running windows.

I assume you have the latest video and audio drivers installed correctly as well?

Perhaps is a Heat issue? have you tried downloading speedfan?

not a heat issue as it can happen right when i start up a game or take a lot of time. I'm pretty sure i have the latest drivers but the HD4000 series is now legacy so it may not be as new. Im currently on Catalyst 12.6

Did you try downloading the latest version of Nvidia PhysX for your ATI card . I too downloaded it for playing Batman:Arkhum Asylum for my HD 5870 card .
Hopefully someday AMD will have proper PhysX possibilities and we stop this annoying different parties using different options.

NVIDIA DRIVERS 9.12.0613

NOTE : PhysX runs on the CPU.It will work but it will work much less effectively than if you had a gpu-based physX solution (like a single Nvidia card or a dedicated nvidia physX card paired with either an ATI or another nvidia card as your dedicated rendering card solution), meaning that you can run in your system an ATI card and bump some physX into the games that have it.

Honestly, with a I5 3570K, i think im fine if it runs on the CPU. i just downloaded the drivers and will get back to you on if they fix the issue

Maybe a piece of your hardware isn't liking the game. This can happen with certain hardware and certain games. For instance, Nascar Season 2003 PC game does not like the Sound Blaster Audigy 2. Game worked fine when I took it out of the PC.

So its been a while cause i have been busy but i think i narrowed down the problem to unreal engine. it only seems to crash on those games, and AFAIK it crashes on all of them. This includes: Quantum Conundrum, BioShock, Dishonored, and Medal of Honor(2010)
