Title sums it mostly. I built my new dream computer and it has been everything except a dream just a big headache. These random shut offs are only happening when I play steam games nothing else. I can play World of warcraft and Wildstart just fine, but when it comes to Saints row, Dead Island, Lego Marvel super hero's and Skyrim I can get into the game, play it for a few minutes and then bam everything goes black with no BSOD and then I will wait a few seconds and it will power itself back on. I cannot figure out why this is happening so I am turning to the pros! Thanks for the help in advance!

Hi kingofblob, have you tried running 'sfc /scannow' command in Command Prompt? This would scan Windows System Files for any corrupted or missing files. Post the results after this.

Last night I attempted to game again. I got into the game and noticed a high pitch whining sound coming from either the PSU or GPU I will need some more time to look into this because I killed the game right away after hearing the noise for the fear of causing damage to my system.

Maybe the problem is with your GPU, are you sure all the cable connection are good there?
