Hi Guys!

I'm new to this forum and this is my 1st post,...:D
Lately I've installed some programs... Connectify...CommView...AirCrack...etc..
Windows Update performed some updates..changed my themes several times...installed a font pack.
And many other things that confused me a lot when I experienced my first BSOD.

After some time things seemed ok, then I experienced a few more BSOD's.that's why I decided to uninstall many programs that I suspect to be the trouble maker, did a system restore, used CCleaner to tidy up the registry and defragmented my drives...

I thought that was the end but just now as I finished typing this I've had a new BSOD!!!!
Damn I was so frustrated!!! I'm doing my Java Programming then it all blues out!

Someone please help me solve this.... I got a glance of the blue screen error details and I saw a 'driver error' somethin' before my pc restarted so I guess a driver is the fault..:banghead:

I followed carefully the instructions on uploading the files needed. If it was messed up. I do apologize for my stupidity just tell me where I went wrong:huh:

It appears that the BSOD is a combination of the Bluetooth Driver and the ZTE USB modem driver.

The Bluetooth driver is too old.
Code:

    Loaded symbol image file: BTNetFilter.sys

Disable Bluethhot.

The ZTE USB moder driver is too old, too.
Code:

    Loaded symbol image file: ZTEusbmdm6k.sys

Search for possible updates in ZTE Corporation.

Dont use multiple antivirus program. As you have MSE installed, Uninstall Avast using Avast Uninstall Utility.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus, MSC and the touchpad driver, SynTPEnh.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept then restart.
Let us know the results.

Hi Arc!

Thanks for your response as of now I'm going thru the process of uninstalling 'Bluesoleil' and sooner Avast. I guess your right since I have MSE and MBAM. I think I'll get rid of Avast. ;)

But I stumbled upon some more 'minor' irritations.. :confused:Since I've already uninstalled Connectify Hotspot and Dispatch I'm disturbed how I can't get rid of it's shortcuts in Control Panel(see pic). And I think I messed up Bad Piggies too...I deleted it's installtion folder by mistake and now I can't remove it in 'Programs and Features'....

I don't think this is the right category to ask those questions but I'm really having a hard time navigating further in the site so I guess I'll just include it here?

And I don't remember installing anything about a ZTE Program and its driver... Do you think it's safe to remove those drivers?

Thanks again Arc & other future geniuses in advance!:D

About connectify, you may follow their guidance to remove it.
Uninstalling Connectify Hotspot : Connectify Support

When you attach the ZTE device for the first time, hardware wizard installed the driver automatically. If you dont use it, it is safe to uninstall it.

I've uninstalled it already... but it left a junk behind... like what's in the picture... :o It's not causing anything just eating up a few screen pixels space..:(

Thanks again Arc! I hope I won't experience a BSOD again. oh and yes... where do you download drivers easily and free?!:geek:

You are welcome mate :)
I get drivers from the respective device manufacturer's website :) Never needed to pay for those.
