Randomized Disconnections from Home Network

Hello everyone,

I am hoping someone with more skill than myself can answer this question. I have gone through about 4 different PCI network cards, all with the same issue. I have deduced that Windows 7 has to be the issue. I just cannot determine WHAT the issue is. I have totally random spasms of network problems, usually involved with me disconnecting from my network, and being unable to get back on. Currently, I have a DLINK DWA-566 PCIx1 Wireless N networking card, linked to a LinkSys WRT300N wireless home router, on a 2.4GHZ frequency (would go 5GHZ, but not all devices in my house support it). Every now and again, I will get random disconnections from the network, when everyone else works fine. I have been packet sniffing, and notice 0 odd packets. Just a complete and total stop. My computer will disconnect from the network, and no amount of fiddling can get it back on. Even a total reboot fails in most cases. I will usually have to sit and mess around with the network card, disabling, uninstalling from DM, rehooking drivers, etc. I do not see anything unusual in the Event Manager either. This has been common with every single network card I have ever used. I dunno if its my mother board, or windows causing the root problem. I use a base version of Windows 7 Professional x64 with absolutely 0 windows updates. I have Comodo Firewall, and no anti virus (I prefer to fight viruses manually anyways). I have the latest drivers by DLINK for my card, and even tech support from them was totally useless. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and found a fix? Either by a windows update, or some other strange method? It should be noted, I have regsvr32'd my entire driver set over and over, to no avail. SFC /SCANNNOW brought back nothing either...though I was just doing that out of frustration more than anything. I have double checked the WMI repository as well, and nothing seems wrong there. I am a technician myself, but this has me stumped. I leave it to the greater minds out there.

Thanks

I run the base version of windows because everytime I get SP1 or any windows updates, my system goes totally berserk. As for router firmware, it is the latest. Again, however, no one else in my house has this issue. Only one other desktop is wireless, the rest are laptops. The other desktop uses a WirelessN Belkin USB dongle, and has no issues.

I should clarify, by base I mean the original release build, with no windows updates. Bought it retail when it first came out.
