Solved ReactOS shows BSDO 0x1E upon loading.

I downloaded ReactOS (An OS based on Windows NT Kernel) It shows BSOD 0x1E just upon loading. I downloaded a preinstalled version for virtualbox. Is there anything I could do? I'm asking this here because ReactOS is very similar to windows. The bsod is the same as it would show up on a windows computer.

I would post a bug report on the React OS website. I have a VMWare virtual machine and it runs OK for ALPHA software.

While ReactOS was designed to be compatible with Windows software it is being developed without access to the Windows source code. Access to this code is strictly controlled and could not be legally used for such purposes. Internally ReactOS is likely to be very different from any version of Windows. The methods of dealing with the BSOD error in Windows are probably not appropriate for ReactOS.

Contact the ReactOS forum for all issues with this OS.

For me I've tried the normal ISO version, which you must install inside the VM, and it works pretty much fine for me. But the only problem I've got is that, as soon as I installed the guest addons, it shows a BSOD on booting. Without those the system worked well. Try installing normally, but without the addons.

Not knowing very much about ReactOS I think I have heard it creates dump files as Windows does. That being said, mount the VirtualBox ReactOS virtual appliance as a virtual drive on your host and search for dump files for analyze.

About your self installed ReactOS, boot it without Guest Addiotions and search for the dumps. I think you'll find the culprit being the Guest Additions, which I think are not compatible with ReactOS.

In windows the dump files can be found in C:\Windows\Minidump\, I do not know the possible location in reactOS.
