I woke this morning to find an event for today 1-1-2010 called "Matt Work's birthday" (not Matt's work birthday) as if the guy was named Matt Work.

I cannot delete it (with conventional means) and I didn't place it there. I have a US holiday calendar running in the calendar, but this is one called birthday calendar. It's the only recurring day each year.

It's recurring event but shows no info and will not let me edit it or delete it.

What the heck is going on here? What's the best way to delete it. I can't find it in appdata-local-windows-live mail-calendars

Thanks

Hi Nate

did you move the folders wher WLM keeps its files etc? might be permissions.

If not and you know the folder where the calendar is, if you boot in safe mode you might be able to kill it. Just make sure you back up calenders first in case

I did move them Ken. I have total access to the drive, but you're probably right. The storage folder moved may have something to do with it. I have checked in both locations (default and the folder I moved them to) and cannot even find the data. I have the "calendars" folders but they are empty????

Safe mode huh? I will try it out.

It turns out i had to log onto calendar.live.com and delete this. I still don't know where it came from. It appeared on 1-1-10. Very strange. If anyone runs into this searching, that is how you delete it. There must be others.
