where is the windows live mail 2012 contacts file?

I'd like to import my Windows Live Mail contacts into a recent mail client, but I can't find the WLM contacts file. Knowing its name would help. Has anyone done this? Anyone know the name of the contacts file and where it is?

This puzzled me:

Local Disk C:/Users/[my name]/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Windows Live Contacts

Inside that last folder, there are 3 folders with long names. Clicking them shows no visible contents.

However, right clicking the Windows Live Contacts folder and choosing "Properties" says that folder is 76.1 MB and contains 28 Files and 13 Folders, much more than is visible. Apparently, that data is hidden.

Can anyone help me from here? Anyone know how to unhide that data? And find the Windows Live Contacts file/s?

You should see them if you disable Hide protected operating system files in Control Panel > File Explorer Options > View.

This tool may help too, if something doesn't work right.
