Realtek AC 97 drivers, no sound

Hi !
Having same problem Realtek ac 97 code 10,just with desktop PC,trayed to change drivers but no luck.
Some help would be nice!!!

AC97 won't work after installing windows 7

I finally fixed the problem. I had tried all kinds of suggestions here and other sites and none worked. Since I have self built PC, I grabbed the CD that came with the motherboard and looked for a folder containing the drivers. I navigated the folders and found a folder called "Realtek." In there I found an executable program that installed the AC97 driver for the motherboard, and voila, IT WORKED! I suggest you do the same for your PC.
