On my HP Netbook which uses Windows 7 Starter 32-bit, I checked for downloads on 12/31/2015 and received this requested update: Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller. What was strange was the following message that was included: Update released in November 2014.

This did not make any sense that it showed up over a year later since I have been updating and using this netbook almost on a daily basis with WiFi as a necessity.

My WiFi is working perfectly, so why would i even want to mess around and have the weird problems that seem to happen to those who just download everything from Microsoft in blind faith?

Did anyone else receive this update at that time?

MS takes its time to include updates, especially if its a 3rd party, you could also check on the HP site for your model, or go directly to Realtek.
