Hello I have problem with my soundcard it started acting weird... After plugin in a any type of headset it turn off the sound... and then I need to go to services.msn and restart the "still running!!!" Windows Audio...
I don't know how to fix this. I tried many ways, reinstalling the drivers with dedicated and with the latest but the problem still occured. The audio jack is stable and its not moving... so Im really don't now what happening.
I found out that when I tried to run any song on winamp after and "turning off a soundcard" I get messege: Invalid driver DirectSound. Install proper drivers or select another device. code sign: 88890010.

Anyone knows what is happening ? I would really appreciate any help I could get because Im getting frustrade :(

Im using Lenovo Y580 with Realtek soundcard but I dont know model...

USB headset or 3.5mm jack connecting to your soundcard?

USB heatsets wont use the soundcard, but have a basic one built in.

if coneccting to a 3.5mm jack, try going into your realtek software and enabling/disabling "jack detection" incase the detection is inverted (i have seen this before)

Hi I've tried this one. But there this has not given me any changes... I've tried totay system restore and so on Im testing with positive.. until now when I eter System Panel and so On Sound and Hardware and when I clicked Sound I've got message from windows: System Windows find out that your enhancements for specific device (Speakers Realtek High Definition Audio) gives problems. Do You want to turn off the enhancements...?
