ReBoot Time

Not really.. not with that kind of hardware.
You're probably having issues with one (or several) of your drivers and/or startup programs ..if you haven't just bogged your system down by allowing everything you install to run at startup..

if you don't have more than 50 running processes at startup, type event viewer in the search bar on the start menu and click on the result then search for errors .. that's usually the quickest way to identify problems.

If it's a factory configured windows install with the typical bloat .. that would be your problem

I notice that event viewer is reporting a lot of errors with the 'Smart6' program...that's a Gigabyte app.

I just clicked 'uninstall' to get rid of it and my PC crashed.

any tips?

Reinstall windows and add the motherboard drivers during the installation. There are several threads on how to do that, and I've made several posts describing the method I use.. but the best suggestion I could make here is post your own thread on the subject, because that will get a lot more attention

Got a new Hard Drive 32g SSD

Anytime happy to have helped

One question from your "Sig" how do you have your 5770 in hybrid-crossfire
thought is was only for the HD2400/3400 cards that can do hybrid-crossfire
ATI's new 890 chipset that can hybrid crossfire with HD5400/5500 series of cards. not with the HD5770

or is it just explaning what you have as onboard video
