82 seconds here. With an average of 60 processes running at bootup. Not bad for all that runs, right?

It could be, when we used to get GX745's at work, they had 80GB WD Raptor drives. They were made for Dell and they are 10K drives and did provide better boot times.

Here's mine. Does it affect the boot time if you have a login password?

EDIT: I have done auto login. On the left boot up time is with me typing in my password. On the right is my boot up time with auto login.
So it does change your boot up time if you have to type in a password.

From the looks of this script it takes into account the bios post time as well because once I see the computer is starting, it only takes 20 seconds to desktop... :sarc:
So with total bios post time taken into account, it's 92 seconds for my system & that's with 9 startup items added which I can't do without.

So for me - it has to subtract time - I got 89 seconds - BUT, it takes ~15 seconds to scan and recognize my RAID with my Crosshair III, as well as the few seconds to do a manual login - not bad.. fun little tool!!

Is that boot time or reboot time

From my experience with Boot Racer that is Boot time, after the system goes through the POST and begins loading Windows.
If that's the case, then I'm afraid you're bringing raisins to a broccoli food fight. :sarc: There's a link in the first post to the method used to compare restart times here; see here for details.

So... We're all comparing how long our computers take to log off, shut down, BIOS POST, start up and then finally log in.

When Is The Start Of The Timer?

When does the timer start, from the time bios start or when Windows start?

just after I do a clean install before I do any drivers, updates and software I get 15 seconds for bios and 15 for windows to get me to the desktop but after all installation I get numbers like 40 seconds to over a minute.
