Recommend me a gaming headset!

I've been searching for headsets lately because once the night time rolls around I have to shut my surround sound off because my family is sleeping. I've been looking at the astro a30's but after reading reviews I hear that the bass in them is not too good. I preferably like good bass. And the thing I like about them is that the mic is detachable and the headphones can be used with mp3 player.

Anyone have a headset they particularly like or heard good thing about? Let me know!

I will primarily be playing BF3, but would like to use with mp3 player as well (will still look into headsets that arent meant for this)

I had this problem the other day!
I looked at all the big branded names, and then found a brand I'd never heard of "Trust".
Model: GTX 26.
They had a set of 5.1 usb headphones for £40... 1/3rd that of the leading brands.

I took a risk and bought them, having found zero reviews on the internet.. And let me tell you I'm amazed!!

Ok I'm not fully sold on the surround part, the 4 speakers are in close proximity so there's little distinction.... But my god is the sound good!!

And I'm compairing this to my 7.2 av home cinema system!!!

BF3 sound amazing! You can pinpoint every shot at you, and when you get a bullet crack past your ear I sometimes think about ducking lol.

Normally I'm a brand snob and only go for the most expensive, but this time my one time diversion from the brand slag path and I'm very suprised!!! 10/10 from me!

Are the electra's surround or stereo? Id prefer surround.

Try looking into the turtle beach head sets. Can find them at all major stores.And are suppose to be pretty and work with your console or PC.I'm getting one for MW3 I think.

The thing with turtle beach and tritton headsets, your paying mostly for the optical sound card you get with it.. Its pointless for a pc as you have a sound card already.

Usb is better imo lol
