So I just bought a new HDD for my laptop. I put the new one in, and put the old one into an enclosure. I cloned my old drive to the new one, and resized the partitions (dual-boot machine) on the new drive. Ubuntu works just fine, but I can't seem to get my old version of Windows from the old drive to the new one. Every time I try I get some booting error when I pick it from GRUB.

I just buckled and reinstalled Win7, and it works with the dual-booting now, but I still want my old version.

How can I get my old Windows install to work?

Hello, and welcome! Try cloning, and then running a Startup Repair.
