Recycle Bin - Nothing in it

There is nothing ever in my recycle bin, and yes I have the option set to put deleted files into the recycle bin, unless I do a Shift + Delete.

I'll also mention that my settings never hold from reboot to reboot....ex: I set IE to open full screen, and then reboot, and it does not open in full screen. This is the same for many other settings. What am I missing? Is this related to the recycle bin problem?

That aforementioned procedure works by deleting the recycle bin from the command line and letting Win 7 recreate same.

I'm interested in knowing how you managed to mess it up?

Not really sure how, or if, I messed it up. I don't check the recycle bin that often, but I do remember checking in it for something I thought I deleted by mistake....and that was a week or 2 after I had an on-line session with Dell support.

I'm not saying they did this, because I truely don't know.

@Stormy13.....That did it. Thank you for the link. Recycle bin appears to be working like it is supposed to.

One more question: Where or how do I change how long the recycle bin holds deleted files?
