Red X Solved

I too, solved this problem by deleting Incoming Connections in Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings.

I was ready to reinstall win7 because of other problems with the Windows Update and this problem, but I am good for now.

I had this problem too and I just fixed mine

I went into Network connections and disabled my Network Connection then I rightclicked on the red x and had windows trouble shoot. Once it reinabled my connection the RedX went away. Yay!!
