Solved Redirecting live mail

Live mail help please

My icon says it is live mail.
We want to redirect all our incoming mail to our sister park and i don't know how to do it.
Could somebody talk me through this please.

In a few months I will also have to reverse the process.

I have read the forums and can see lots of live hotmail jargon but I am now confused.

I don't understand what you are trying to do...
What is a "sister park"?
Is this for a work/business and you want mail redirected to a different location (Business park)

Windows Live Mail is a client (installed on a PC) mail program.
Hotmail is an Email provider, so you would have a Hotmail account if you are using Hotmail.

You could have a Hotmail account setup in the Windows Live Mail program...if that's what you use...?

Hi thank you for the reply, I will try to explain better.

I am using windows 7, 64 bit, my mail is live mail.

in a couple of days I am moving for 4 months and i have been told to redirect all incoming mail to a different address so that they can read them. After I get back and set up the pc I will need to get the mail back to this pc so I can carry on.

I don't think it is hotmail as I have never seen this wording on any mail. if I hover the mouse over the mail icon it just says windows live mail. this is what it says in the "about" in the mail

I still don't understand.
Who told you to redirect incoming email and why so they can read them?

If it's a work PC and you have been "relocated" for 4 months, that's one thing...
If it's your home email and you are relocating to your sister "park" home for a vacation, that's something else...
If your ISP (Internet Service Provider) is telling you to redirect while they make system changes, that's yet another thing...

Unless it is my work email, under direct authorized instructions (Boss said so), I would not redirect my email so "they" can read it...

I can't get screen prints now for WLM as that PC is busy with monthly maintenance...
But, if you click in WLM File/Accounts (i think that's what it is) you should see what type of email account(s) you have.

Hi.

Yes it is exactly that. We are a small caravan park that is closing for winter and I go away. My boss wants this mail to go to his other park so that he can read them. he still works with a slate and piece of chalk so he has asked me to do it. The problem is that I am not much better and have got myself all confused.

Umm...why not just use a computer THERE to check your mail? Wait, someone want's your email login information right? So just give them that, if it really IS your boss.

If you are using a Hotmail email address (@live.com or @live.co.uk, @hotmail.com or @hotmail.co.uk, @msn.com or @msn.co.uk, @outlook.com), you do the forwarding using the Outlook.com (former live.com & hotmail.com) web interface.

• Using your browser, not the Windows Live Mail client program, go to http://www.outlook.com and log in to your email account
• Click the Settings button top right, left from your name, click More email settings:

• Select Forward your emails to another email account, enter the address you want your emails being forwarded to, select Keep a copy of forwarded messages in your Outlook inbox, click Save:

• Your emails will now be forwarded until you come back to same page and select Don't forward
