redistributable?

Hi I can remember when I use to format my PC redistributable use to install loads When I installed a programme or game. If I went into uninstall there where about 10 different versions. Now there is only 2 even after I install the same games programmes etc. Not so long ago I did a post saying should there be so much. So why now only 2 are shown in uninstall?. Not formatted my PC 7 days so I should think more redistributable should be installed. Could this be the problem I am having with my Pc from colour to performance lately?. I no you can install them manually but has said in past I didn't have to.

The 2 I have installed now are.

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 redistributable - 10.030319
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x84 redistributable - 10.030319

Like I said I use to have about 10 from different years and versions.

The version numbers don't look tight to me for the redists involved.
What I have for those are 10.0.40219 - possibly the service pack versions of the ones you have.

Have you reinstalled Windows? ONLY those redists included in programs you have installed will be present in the listing - since they are the only ones required.

Yes I have formatted about 7 days ago. These redistributable are from motherboard driver. But when I have formatted in the past new updated version have installed on there own but last 3 times I have formatted newer version not been installing.

Like I say when I formatted in the past the game I installed first use to install redistributable automatically but last 3 times they haven't and been 7 days now. Which seems strange as said also there where quite a lot of them too. But now only these 2 and not updating them self's or threw windows update.

I use to have something like this installed. look further don the page for pic. This is not my Pc this is just what use to get installed when ever I installed a new game from formatted pc.

Also first thing I did after formatting and all updates etc is install steam and a game. The game from steam use to install the redistributable when you did the first time play and other updates what your pc needs but this also has stopped.

Maybe thy updated the coding to use the later redist ?
