Reducing the delay for alt-tab

I love using alt-tab to switch between open windows but it drives me nuts that when you first press alt-tab there is a significant delay before the first open window is previewed (and the others are made transparent). Subsequent presses of alt-tab once the task switcher is open cause the next window to display instantaneously so there must be some way of reducing the delay on the initial click of alt-tab. Somebody help. This is driving me nuts. Thanks.

I can't seem to find a solution either, I'd love if the aero peek for Alt+tab was quicker initially too, instead of 1-2 seconds.

Here is an example when I first Alt+tab it takes 1-2 seconds initially, I'd like to find a registry or something to make it instant.

I've found ways to make the desktop peek quicker but that doesn't seem to affect Alt+tab.

Edit: I just found this which is an animated example of our issue. http://andyf.me.uk/aeropeek/test1.html
