Welcome to SF!

Try removing the drive letter for the recovery partition. Type diskmgmt.msc into the start menu, right-click on the recovery partition, and select Change Paths and Drive letters (or whatever it is :)).

Good luck!

Open the recovery partition, make a snip and post it here. Then we can see what's on it and give you advice. From a reinstallation alone it should not have filled up.

As requested, post back screenshots of your full Disk Mgmt drive map with listing, as well as the contents of the Recovery Drive.

Using Snipping Tool in Start menu, attach file using paper clip in Reply Box.

Just a little correction:
lis vol works (in lieu of list vol), but exi. does not work - must be exit.

exi works, but only in Diskpart. You can exit diskpart with that command, but not the command prompt.

Either works; it's a 1 letter difference.

yes, exi works, but not exi. - just a small detail. But I really did not want to make a big deal of it.

I always use full words in DISKPART commands as users need to learn - more than they need unintelligible shortcuts.
