Is there a way to have start->run history kept while not keeping a history of the recently launched programs from the menu?

I know under the properties you have "Store and display recently opened programs in the Start menu", but this is what controls both.
I'm figuring theres probably some registry entry that will let me control them individually.

I think that feature was removed.

Ahha, after popping up the sysinternals process monitor and looking at activity when I opened the start menu, I noticed it looking at HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Start_JumpListItems. From googling that I found another thread here about it (http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/4820-jump-lists-change-number-recent-items-display.html) and that its changed under the 'customize' button on the start menu properties.
So, I just set the "Number of recent programs to display" to 0, and viola.

That response was inspired. Thanks.
