Remote Desktop app to use in LAN without internet?

Hi, can you recommend a remote desktop software to use in a LAN without internet? I've read about TeamViewer, but Windows also has a built in remote app although I'm not sure if it's more limited in its features.

Why not use the native Remote Desktop Connection?

If not that, then UltraVNC.

Thanks username, yes, I was mentioning the native Windows remote, but as I said, maybe it has less features than these 3rd party ones.

There are more features in RDC than in VNC. Just open up the app and click around.

The main difference between RDC and VNC is the default connection type. RDC does not let those in the same room as the remote computer see what you are doing. VNC does. If you do not want/need others to see what is happening on the remote computer, then RDC is the better option.


Personally, I would install both. I've had both VNC and RDC get into a state where it would not respond. Hopefully, one or the other tool will work for you at any given time.
