I am trying to grant remote access to my computer for a friend for a joint task the connection works fine and he is able to remotely access my computer with no trouble however my computer goes black for a second and then returns to my login screen and when I log back in it kicks my friend off. Is there anyway that I may still see the screen and view what he is doing while he is remotely connected?

Thank you for any help provided,
Branden

If you are using Windows Remote Desktop this behavior is normal and to be expected. Only a server OS will permit what you want.

Edit: Even a server OS would not do what you want. Each user would have their own private desktop.

Maybe remote assistance? Or a third party utility.

Teamviewer is a popular program. But unless you connect to a remote assistance server, you will always have that problem of losing the desktop.
