Remove Anoying Send Feedback Link in Window Titles

With regedit change HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\FeedbackToolEnabled to 0
Reboot.

I hope this doesn't stop people from actually sending feedback however. You can still do so through a simple start menu search.

No. It just removes the link from the window titles.

Haha, woops. Maybe I shoulda phrased my sentimeents better. I know that you could still send feedback. What I'm saying is that I hope people don't refrain from doing so anymore just because its no longer conveniently located in the window title bar . Not that I think it would matter much, as I would think anyone who cares enough to send feedback would do it regardless.

Thanks baarod, I kept accidently hitting that send feed back button when moving windows around and it was quite annoying. There is always the one on the desktop to use when I need to send feed back.

That was the only reason I wanted it gone as well

It was particularly bad with small windows, and I send enough reports to M$ as it is I can still do that using the shortcut (pinned to top of start menu)

this didn't work for me, i changed it to 0 but am still seeing "send feedback" at the top of my windows. Using build 7022.

i should have done that first, sorry. it wasn't specified in the directions that i'd need to. i thought edits to the registry would be instantaneous.

Yeah, no, most registry edits call for a reboot there are a few that don't though I believe. Should have been mentioned at the beginning of the thread. Glad you got it sorted.

Try build 7057 -- it's better and doesn't have the feedback link to start with.

i've tried from two different sources...
But unfortunatelly 7000 is better/faster on my computer...
im waiting for RC1 or the next release to try....
