remove .jpg context menu "rotate clockwise/counterclockwise" option

stupid window programs adding that function to only .jpg but not other format.
no I do NOT want to know how to add those fnctions to other format, and NO I do NOT want to learn or get use to it, I want it removed PLEASE.

I used glary, it doesnt help.
I used default program editor, it doesn't show the way to remove it.
I tried using shellexview, shellmenuview, both not user friendly, cant seem to find what I want.

However I have found the registry in regedit to the rotate ones through shellviews but it won't let me make any changes. I tried giving permission so i can change it but it wont give me permission to give permission to change. when i change it says some program still running it but of course nothing is running it and ontop of all that I don't even know how or what to change.

can someone please show me how to get rid of these 2 things in the context menu, or please write a registry for me that I could just double click on it then click OKAY, and it does ALLLLLLLL the work.

thank you so very much with sugar on top + 2 hairy thumbs up.

...window programs adding that function to only .jpg

Those "Rotate..." items are put there by Windows Photo Viewer. If you only see them with jpg files, I guess you are using another image viewer that has taken the associations for everything but jpg? You might try to add jpg to that other photo viewer's associations.

Otherwise, a quick fix is to disable Windows Photo Viewer. Navigate to:
C:\Program Files\Windows Photo Viewer\PhotoViewer.dll

Take ownership and full control of PhotoViewer.dll
Rename to PhotoViewer.dll.bak

You might like an alternate image viewer - how about FastStone Image Viewer
download link here
I recommend using the portable version.
In the settings interface, associate all your image files with FastStone and everything will open with it, and no context menu "Rotate.."

P.S. I did look for a registry or a dll-hack fix, but it is not readily apparent - maybe buried in binary code somewhere ...

yea i took ownership of that file and it still wont let me delete it. apparently window photo gallery is one of the annoy thing thats part of the window LIVD ID and it wont let you choose which to uninstall or install. window Live package includes MSN, Window Live movie maker and photogalery and bunch of others. I need both msn and WLMM so I cant uninstall it.

i found a way to delete it though. when i delete the file after taking ownership, it says program is running it, and when i checked under task manager under services, it was explorer.exe thats using it. I just close all window and explorer and then delete the file then its good to go!

thanks for replying though
