Hi, newbie here.
I just reinstalled Win-7 from Lenovo Recovery Disks (5 DVDs) on my Thinkpad t440p.
It took almost a whole day. Also installed Firefox and MSE. Had to reboot many, many times, for Windows Updates.
I installed every Updates that Windows offered (both Important and Optional).
Now, Windows says my machine is all up-to-date. That is great. It runs great. But it seems to use alot of RAM...like over 2 Gig.
So now I read that uninstalling telemetry updates will free up resources.
I found a post from Jan 2021, that has a script to remove the telemetry updates. In the script, there are ten lines (to uninstall ten KB's).
is it really just that simple to de-telemetry? just remove ten KB's?
or is there more to it than that?
ps. In other forums and youtube, I found lists of KB to uninstall. These lists are usually very large. But these lists are all atleast a few years old.
