Okay, I've been changing the Login Screen Background, but what I really want to do is remove the Icon (the User Account Picture).
I want to remove the whole thing, I just want my Username Showing and a box under it to type the Password. Is that possible?

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

You can try the solution at this page

Maybe the picture I've attached helps..

i was actually looking for this as well, and i did find something to that affect. i used logon workshop to not removed the pic, but made it invisible.

the app was posted on this thread: http://www.sevenforums.com/customization/92397-logon-workshop.html. but, the actual link to DL the file was removed. no worries, you can DL the file here: http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=§ion=&q=logon+workshop#/d4dvvj3

it's a great program to use, doesn't have any support whatsoever, so you'll have to figure things out for/by yourself -- much like i did...LOL :) once you work with it for a while, things will become much easier to understand. enjoy.

EDIT: oh, and with LWS (logon workshop) you can do a lot of things on the logon screen. like how i have the login area to the right of the screen instead of the default in-the-middle-of-the-screen area. i also moved my shutdown button to the left of the screen as well, but you won't see it on the "locked" logon screen.

I figured it out! Windows can't stand transparent images (if you use one Windows will fail to load the logon screen!!) , so if you want to make something transparent you need to:

A: set 0 pixel size for the button/object
B (when A is not an option): create a small image (eg. 20x20 px) and create a 1% opacity (it seems you can't to go any lower) 1 pixel dot so the image is no longer transparent and it will work fine!

Cheers!
