Solved Removed program but blank icon is still in control panel, help.

Please see the attached pic.

I have uninstalled Avira weeks ago and only just now noticed it's blank icon is still present in the control panel when using "small" icon view.

When I click it, Windows tells me "application not found", is there a way to remove it from the list?

thanks you two, I was able to remove it by deleting it from the registry and then rebooting

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ ControlPanel \ NameSpace

I have a similar problems whit Windows 10........ i have uninstall office 2016 and i have reinstall whitout reinstall Microsoft Outlook 2016 but now i have a EMPTY ICON on Control Panel.

I have tryed to create the link on desktop suggested in one of two links and file point to a file called MLCFG32.CPL no more present on my Office Folder......... ok but how i can remove now the empty icon from Control Panel ?

Ok... i have open regedit:
I have make a search of MLCFG32 and i have found 3 voices........ i have deleted all of this (backup before all 3 in a .reg). Close Control Panel... re-open it and wrongs icon it's disappears.....
