Hello,

I have a document I downloaded from the web that has the extension of: /HP.shtml

Normal text.

No problems using, and it prints fairly well, sort of.

But, the background was created with a light color.
Text is the normal dark black

Makes reading of it easier, perhaps, but makes the printed copy harder to read.
Still possible, but harder and less discernible.

Is there any way to keep the text, but remove the background color ?

Thanks,
Bob

Do you have your printer settings to Not print the background? In addition to your problem that setting to print the background does use more ink. File, Page Setup.

Hi,

Thanks for help; much appreciated.

My printer does not seem to have that option.

Any other methods ?

You downloaded the document so what program are you using to try to print? Most Page Setup is done in a program such as Word, WordPerfect, WordPro, Wordpad, LibreOffice, etc. The .shtml may be incorrect, I usually save as .htm or .html.
