Hello All,

I am constantly receiving BAD_POOL_HEADER BSOD's over the last month. I haven't noticed the crash happening when doing anything specific-it's intermittent. I used to have F-Secure antivirus on this PC and thought maybe that was part of the problem as it was a newer install. I removed it about a month ago and put MS Security Essentials back on, but am still getting these same BSOD's.

I have uploaded the folder from the SF Diag Tool. Thanks in advance for any help!

Ron

Welcome to SF finneron2014 :).

The main problem appears to be mainly network related.
The reoccurring drivers are CVPNDRVA.sys, dnelwf64.sys & athrx.sys
with the AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter being highly outdated.
Code:
lmvm athrx
Browse full module list
start end module name
fffff880`04ac5000 fffff880`04d6b000 athrx T (no symbols)
    Loaded symbol image file: athrx.sys

The Citrix and Cisco may also be a part of the issue but I want to take it in stages
and update the wireless driver first.
BTW, are those absolutely necessary?

:ar: Please update the driver.

:ar: Please update your nVidia GPU driver.

Please follow this detailed quote and update the driver to a known stable release.

Install the 314.22 WHQL only.

  • Uninstall All nvidia items in Control Panel > Programs and features
    • 3D Vision Control Driver
    • 3D Vision Driver
    • Graphics Driver
    • HD Audio Driver
    • PhysX
    • nvidia Update
(Are you using nvidia chipset drivers? If so, dont uninstall anything other than those are listed).
  • Now follow Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling
  • Boot normally now. Download 314.22 WHQL. While installing, Select Custom (Advanced) install. In the next page, follow this settings:

:ar: Please disable the service using AsDsm.sys (Asus Data Security Manager Driver).

  1. :orb: Type, services.msc and hit enter.
  2. Look for a service called ADSM Service, double click it.
  3. Switch the Startup type and Service status to Disabled and Stopped, respectively.
  4. Press OK and restart the PC.

Let us know the results.

Thanks for your help YoYo155 !

I actually updated the wireless driver last night and still got a blue screen after that. I will remove those cisco and citrix drivers as they are not used anymore. I will also update the nvidia graphics driver and turn off that Asus ADSM service. I will post back and let you know how things are looking-

Thanks,

ROn
