Hey all,

I restored my ASUS G75VW to factory settings about a week ago, making sure to save my fonts folder so I could replace it when I was ready.

Problems is... Windows says "You must be outside yo mind, boy."

When I try to replace it I am getting all types of error messages, mostly having to do with administrative privileges.

I can't find any tutorial online that tells me how to do this, or if its even possible. I am gonna go crazy if I can't... I've spent SO much time perfecting my font collection.

Thanks for any help,

Zach

If you locate the icon for Windows Explorer, right-click, then choose 'Run as Administrator', you should be able to copy fonts into the Fonts folder.
Those fonts already there, which Windows installs, cannot readily be overwritten - so you may get a few errors from this if your saved folder includes any of the system fonts. Other non-Windows fonts should install ok.
You can also right-click on an individual font file and choose 'Install' but this would be painful for many fonts. Perhaps shift-clicking a load of them, then right-clicking and choosing 'Install' would work.

I tried to do this but you cannot run the fonts folder as administrator. There is no option when you right click.

Have a look at Nexus font which allows you to have a large collection of fonts and only load a core set into the fonts folder at any time, and set up sets of fonts and add/remiove from active list as you need

Simple, easy and well designed applications by xiles it's totally free but will accept a small donation if you feel you can afford it

Windows allows you to add and remove fonts easily but in can be a little clunky

Also if you have hundreds of fonts active at any one time it can effect start-up and even general running
