Hello, I have an image of my C partition where i have tons of programs, optimizations, custom settings, etc which took me like a month and a half to complete.

My mobo is kind of giving me booting problems since long time ago, sometimes it dessapears and then suddently it appears again.

I am in the middle of working on music compositions that I have to deliver very soon but the booting problem re-appeared.!


If I go to the computer shop tomorrow and get exactly the same motherboard, would I be able to restore the image and get back to work inmediately??

My mobo is an xfx nforce 750i sli.

You won't need to restore anything, just replace the mobo.

At the risk of being obvious, have you tried resetting the bios on your existing motherboard?

Hey Snakeyeskm: I have tried exactly everything, I have been dealing with this problem for a year or so.
I have had a very particular way of turning on my computer:

-First I turn it on

-The computer will get stuck with a "20" readout on the debug led (black screen)

-wait for a minute or two

-Then press reset so it will boot normally

Yes I know what "20" means and I have done everything that comes to your mind. I have plenty of threads on the subject on Win7 forums.
