I don't know what's going on, but half of the time I want to give some reps, there is no rep icon. And I this is not in the chillout room but normal posts. I guess I still do not understand the system.

It's ok Just use what you know to help out other people. And if you don't know something, don't be afraid to Google it and find out yourself. That's what I do. If I don't know the solution to someone's problem, I'll try and find it myself.

News section has also no rep button. The idea is, as far as I know, that rep should be possible only if you really help, not if you tell how's your day been or post a link to some news.

Maybe the posts you want to rep are there, the news?
