Greetings,

I decided to register an account today to ask for some assistance. I have tried finding a solution with google as well as with your forums, usually I am able to find a solution but this time I didn't have much luck.

As the title says I want to swap two keys when the num-lock is off, number 2 with 5. When num-lock is off number 5 is a "clear" and number 2 is an "arrow down" button. I don't want to swap them per se, I just want to have number 5 as an "arrow down" button as well or swap if that is required, when num-lock is off.

I have so far tried SharpKeys, KeyTweak, as well as Microsoft's own keyboard layout changer, but none of these have support for the num-lock. Regardless these softwares recognize the number 5 and 2 in the numeric keys as numbers, even if num-lock is off when they are not number 5 and 2 but clear and arrow down.

I hope I were clear enough and if there exist any uncertainties you may of course ask. I address my thanks for the attention as well as for any suggestions or solutions.

Thanks for your input. Sadly the site is recommending exactly the two software that does not handle support for num-lock keys being off. As explained in my post I did try both SharpKeys and KeyTweak which the site you link to presents.

You could do this with AutoHotKey, but it takes some knowledge of the program. Basically you write a script to bind those keys to the keys you desire. Here is the list of List of Keys, Mouse Buttons, and Joystick Controls

List of Keys and Mouse/Joystick Buttons for Hotkeys and Macros

Notice the 2 lists for Numlock ON and Numlock OFF

I will send a message to a member who does use AHK and see if he can help. I'm unsure how often he is on.

Thanks a lot A Guy, this was exactly what I was looking for. I can't believe I were unable to find this software it's absolutely great as you basically do anything as you said. Thanks a lot for the help!

No need to bother people, I got it working already, it was easier than I though. I just had to script up this "NumpadClear::NumpadDown" and the change were in place. Once again, thanks a lot!
