Resolution too big for screen

Yeah so my cousins laptop(netbook) has a problem I dont know what he did with it but the resolution is way too big for the screen . I cant see the bottom part of the laptop and its really irritating. I tried going to display properties to change resolution but all it does is make it blurry. Really need help here? :(

PS : also when its booting up you cant see the bottom part.

What is the largest resolution it can go to in display properties ?

But as Bigtabs has stated, the native resolution for that laptop is 1024 x 600 and that`s what it should be set at, after that you need to keep trying to hunt down the problem.

Make sure everything is set to 100% and make sure you have the latest display driver, check device manager for any problems with your display adapter.
