Solved Restore didn't restore everything

I stupidly decided that I would reset my hard drive to it's factory settings and start loading in only the program I really want. Well, it sounds easier than it was. Besides losing all of my stored passwords...things don't function the same. So I used my backup to try to get everything back, but it didn't all come back. In particular a file a really need that housed everything I've been doing to handle my father-in-laws estate since his passing. I had made a spreadsheet that retailed all of my calls , forms in and out his various holdings...like that. Is there any way I can recover this folder?

The other thing I iost were the buttons to click for EBAY, You Tube, Gmail...I'm having to look them up every time. I have tried searching for a way to add these buttons to my toolbar, but nothing,. I really wish there was a program that would let me create my dream toolbar.

So, how can I get my folder back and how can I get buttons.

I have recovered most of my passwords, but what a nightmare that was. I was going to start a password manager, but I don't know. I just keep a list.

I hope you have not written to that hard-drive very much -- the more writes, the less likely to get your folder and files back. MiniTools Power Data Recovery free version can recover the recoverable up to 1GB.

To answer the above, I used the Windows backup program. I downloaded that data recovery program but it will not execute. It says failed to start because the side by side configuration is incorrect.

What program did you use for your backup? Do you still have the backup?

Are you using 32 or 64 bit windows?
