Restore from another PC with another Operating System

I Had another lenovo laptop with same one key recovery app,with windows 8.1 installed(64 bit) and backed up in this lap..
Can i restore from that backup file in my current lap(win 7 32 bit)?

It might work as Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 are pretty remarkable in their ability to overcome driver problems then find and install the correct ones.

You will need a Window 8/8.1 install Key though, can't use the same key on more than one computer.
