Solved Restoring User Accounts From a Folder.

My dad has an administrator account on my computer and I have a standard user account. He accidentally deleted my old account so I recently just made this new one. Although my old account is no longer there, the files have been placed in a folder, the folder is called "xxxx" where xxxx is the name of the old account that I had. This folder is located on my dads administrator account. Is there any way he can send this folder into my new account to restore all my old pictures, vids, settings etc....

Hello Wilson, and welcome to Seven Forums.

As administrator, he does have the rights to open the xxxx folder and copy it's contents into say a folder on your desktop.

Thank you for the help! This may seem stupid, but I don't really think he knows how to do that. Also is there any way to get my old settings back too, or will I have to start from scratch on those?

He'll be able to copy and paste them into your folder just like any other files and folders. The only difference it that he'll just need to approve when prompted the first time he opens the xxxx account folder and your account folder to allow himself access.

Thank you so much, we figured it out and I am currently working on my old settings . I was surprised at how quickly you replied it was a good feeling. I have all my old documents now and I will change it to solved...
