Hi,

I have built a car PC and have recently upgraded it from XP to Seven (32bit). I have got it to auto login to the desktop of the only user account on the system when it boots up from cold. The PC is set to sleep when the cars ignition is off and then wake up when the car starts again but when it resumes windows you need to click the (only) user to get back to the desktop. Can I skip this step and just go to the desktop after resume?

Hi lewisc, im assuming you dont have a password right? well you need to set one temporarily to do this, asfter its enabled change "require password on wakeup" from the power options to no then delete the password again, problem solved :)

in case you dont know how to stop it needing a password heres a tut to read: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/10024-password-require-wakeup.html

I think you should also do this:
Right click desktop - personalize - Screen saver.
Untick the option "On resume, display logon screen"

Even if you have "none" selected, it will still go through the process., but without a pretty picture.
