Hello forum users,
I am having a problem using the 'Send to>Compressed (zipped) folder' option. The problem is identical to the issue discussed in this thread:

http://www.sevenforums.com/general-...ing-file-when-zipping-compressing-folder.html

Long story short, in the resulting compressed folder I lose the file that I right-click on to compress the files.

I'm using Windows 7's default built-in file compression. It is apparent that third-party compressing solutions are often preferred to this method, but I'm looking for a solution to this specific problem. Any help with this would be much appreciated, thanks.

After some review, here are some more details on my problem:

-there are about 200-400 small files (1-10KB average) that I'm trying to compress.

-this problem doesn't occur on my local C:, however it occurs on all mapped drives.

-after comparing the zipfldr.dll file on another workstation that doesn't have this issue, I found no differences in properties.

-the regedit entries for zipfold also appear identical to the entries on the workstation without the issue.
